Ground yourself
In the courage
To surrender 💜

First time climbing a 3high out of lines! I needed First time climbing a 3high out of lines! I needed these playful vibes, and to tell myself that I didn't need the spotters because I was going straight up and then back down with no problems. I got shaky but I breathed and tried not to freak out too much. Reminding myself that I was fine. It's such a mental game after all! 😈

This moment was a long time in the making! At @partner_acro_aus in 2021 I did my first ever 3high and afterwards said "That was one and done. I never have to do that again now." It was terrifying but I trusted my base and mid and did it anyway. I felt like I was so high I was going to hit the top of the rig!!

A couple years later I tried again, and it felt less scary and more fun. Being in the lunge lines more and more made me feel invincible. We started adding in tricks and transitions, counterbalances and drops. I was content to just climb to my heart's desire, feeling safe in the rare instances where I had to get off quickly because something wasn't feeling good.

Then @ryn_hooligan and @the_mighty_caesar_ suggested working it out of lines. I was VERY resistant/ hesitant. It wasn't something I had thought about or cared about. But we took it slow, working progressions climbing halfway, prepping the final climb, sitting on shoulders, climbing carefully/calmly back down again, etc.

I think all those things together were probably harder than the actual climb, and @ryn_hooligan and I both got stronger and braver during those progressions. I have so much confidence in Ryn and am in awe of her drive and passion to improve and grow constantly.

Wouldn't have had my first 3high or 3high out of lines on anyone but @the_mighty_caesar_ who's belief in me sets me free. I loved the patience, and weeks spent drilling things over and over. But I also needed the push to take that final step.

Grateful for the courage and inspiration from my acro community. And to say I am constantly pushing my comfort zone and challenging my body/mind to do new, exciting, and scary things is such a gift. Not a week goes by that I'm not blown away by the talent, encouragement, generosity, and care this community offers. I have so much love and admiration for them! 🥰
Getting it done this morning, no excuses ✨I love Getting it done this morning, no excuses ✨I love the routine I've built for myself, but sometimes that doesn't go to plan. I'm on my cycle this week and so I knew I had to slow down and take it easy. I've still moved my body and nourished myself, but weight training was pushed back a few days.

And the only time I had was this morning before I taught my 12pm lunchtime zoom class. The sun was out and I didn't bother getting dressed out of my pjs, and damn it felt good. Just what I needed to get my day started!

These really are non-negotiables for me. No matter what level I work out, or how long/short the session, I'm dedicated to getting it done and feeling stronger and more confident in my body! My 30's is my time to build more muscle and keep finding ways to grow my mind and heart.

It's life-changing. I encourage everyone to pick up weights and see their life improve in more ways than one 💪💜 It's never too late!! And a little is better than none 😘

This is the first climbing video I've recorded and This is the first climbing video I've recorded and shared. So cool to see the thinking process as I problem solve! Last week it took me three goes to get to the top of this route, and it was no thanks to a couple of supportive guys encouraging me to keep going when it felt too hard. I still doubt myself, and think my height is a bit of a crux, but then I see myself do this and it builds so much confidence 🌟

And I've been climbing by myself, which is hugeee for me. The first couple of times I felt self-conscious as a newbie getting back on the wall after a long break. But now I can see how much I am learning from these experiences.

I'm making new friends and really enjoying the 'team' atmosphere even though this is a solo sport. It's just nice to have someone in your corner, cheering you on, and celebrating with you! So I left the audio in, because I had set out to Flash (=get it on the first go) this route last night and another new friend I'd been chatting to was watching and ready to celebrate with me the moment I finished. It felt awesome 😃

And even with the pauses, and resets to find my way through the route; I had the endurance, patience, and drive to know I could take my time to get to the top. I had to re-remember my beta (=route pathway) from last week, but I knew I could do it. Slow and steady, the progress is being put together.

These weekly sessions are a highlight for me, and I think I'm definitely becoming obsessed! I love the community and inclusiveness of @thecruxbouldering ♥️ If you wana come for a yoga class and climb, join me on Tuesday's 🙏

Happy Monday! Hope life is treating you well ♥️
I love having Monday's off, and I love the up and down nature of my life, finding balance between all the things that I do. The moments when time slows down and presence expands; and the fuel, action, and drive that compliments that.

I was chatting to some extended family members this weekend about what I've been up to. And after explaining all the Acro, climbing, and yoga I've been doing I realised how engrained movement is in my life now. I forgot to even mention the weekly weight lifting and dancing that are non-negotiables too. I mean wow, what an amazing life full of play, exploration, and growth I have created! 🤩

Today will be 12 weeks of weight training, and it's been truly transformational. Strengthening and warming my body, getting those serotonin levels up, building more resilience and trust, as well as having something new to dedicate time and energy to.

This is the first time I've committed consistently to weight training with an unwavering drive and ambition. I've had long and short stints in the gym, but I can tell this time I'm in for the long haul. So to celebrate here's some moments from the last 11 weeks of kicking arse 💪🔥💜

ZalaHeart Yoga

Welcome to ZalaHeart Yoga, I'm Laura. These practices are about connection to ourselves and each other, a place to explore and be playful in a safe environment. I can't wait to share this with you!

ZalaHeart Yoga
Add some gentle movement into your day with ZalaHeart Yoga! This practice is great for children aged 3-8 years old. They can follow along by themselves, or if joined by an adult it's the perfect opportunity to bond with no distractions and to focus on finding connection and trust together.
The class will include a mixture of exercises and breath work for both adults and kids. It supports mindful movements that help parents to come back to themselves and kids to explore their bodies. The class will finish with quiet time to find stillness and reflection.

This short practice can be done daily to connect in and allow you and your child to move your bodies! Either at night before bed, or in the morning/afternoon.
Please encourage them to be expressive and join in with any sounds during the video. They may follow along or they may not, but as long as they are having fun that's all that matters 🎉
I hope you find this practice valuable, to move energy and to clear the mind. If this is your first time doing yoga you're doing amazing. And know that the practices get easier the more you do it 🙏

I also offer privates, group classes, and am available for workshops and events. You can find more information on my website:
